They all echo in the dark gray sky. The sadness overshadows the bright fields and apple trees. Yes, there is sun shining and fruit growing, but underneath all the light and growth lies a sad little boy, struggling to find the light in his dark day. Mustapha’s painting portrays his reality of good days and bad days; days where he is playing at the center, and others where he lies on his hospital bed, wishing to run in the vibrant field he painted. No matter how cheerful Mustapha is, he still feels the gloomy dark days, where he wishes the sky was a bit brighter and his life a bit easier.
